GDPR

I dag er privatliv og data i Europa beskyttet af den generelle forordning om databeskyttelse (GDPR). Alle tidligere traktater, direktiver og forordninger har ført til denne forordning. Som et resultat heraf er GDPR meget omfattende og de principper, forordningen er baseret på, har ledt frem til et af de mest progressive forordninger på verdensplan, som har inspireret andre lovgivere udenfor Europa til at anvende lignende tilgange i deres retssystem.

Rights and duties

Every citizen has the right to

  • Information

  • Correction

  • Insight

  • Deletion

  • Limitation of processing

  • Data portability

  • Objection

  • Not to be subject to an automatic decision

Derived from this, every company therefore has corresponding obligations, including overall compliance with the principles.

  • Legality, fairness and transparency: Processing must comply with data protection rules and be transparent

  • Limitation of purpose: When collecting, it must be clear for which factual purposes the information is to be used. Subsequent processing must not be incompatible with these purposes

  • Data minimization: Processing, including the storage of information, must be limited to what is necessary to fulfill the purpose

  • Accuracy: Information must be updated and incorrect information must be deleted or corrected

  • Storage limitation: When it is no longer necessary to process the information, it must be anonymized or deleted

  • Integrity and confidentiality: Information must not be disclosed, lost or damaged
